With Toshiba, we take our role in preserving the environment seriously and encourage our customers to do the same. To help minimise the impact of our printer supplies, we have joined the multi-vendor ‘Circluar Planet: a printing industry initiative’ which is designed for the return and recycling of multi-brand Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) used and waste toner, empty toner bottles and empty developer bottles, managed by Close the Loop the world’s leading provider of ink and toner consumable take-back services.  

The scheme streamlines the collection process of used ink and toner consumables from all participating OEMs into a single Eco collection box, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions. With Close the Loop’s capability to collect various brands, we anticipate a substantial increase in the number of cartridges collected. This will ensure a decrease in the number of cartridges ending up in landfill, aiding us and other manufacturers in achieving circularity. The cartridges will either be recycled at Close the Loop facilities or repurposed to manufacture new cartridges. This collective effort will contribute to environmental conservation by preserving natural resources.

Customers can register for the programme at Close the Loop's Circular Planet website. Once registered you will be able to order free Eco Collection Boxes and order the free pick-up of full Eco Collection Boxes to be returned to the Close the Loop's UK collection partner for processing.
